Valentine's Pillow Boxes

Pillow Boxes are so fun and easy!

I cut this pillow box at 6" from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

The hearts and swirly border are die cut.

I stamped the sentiment with a permanent black ink and inked all of the edges with Walnut distress ink.

I cut the paper borders along the bottom with a paper cutter and then hand trimmed the edges so they would match the curve of the pillow box.

I'm going to fill these with truffles and send them to my daughter and her missionary companions. :)

I hope they love chocolate!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Snowmen birthday card

My sweet daughter-in-law and I made some fun Winter birthday cards together!  Same card . . . different colors.  This is the card my daughter-in-law made.  Isn't it cute?!

The cut file is from My Scrap Chick.  There is even a tutorial.

This is the card I made:

I inked around the edges of the scarf piece and nose and then added a little chalk for the cheeks.

It's an easel card!

Have a happy day!

A simple Christmas card . . .

I love this pretty cut file from the Silhouette store!

I used stampin' up dimensionals to pop up all of the layers, then added my stamped sentiment.

Have a happy day!

Happy Halloween!

. . . .  in a few days!

This cute little monster is from the Cricut Mini Monsters cartridge.  I used a Peachy Keen face stamp for the face, colored the eyes with a white gel pen, then added glossy accents.

Everything piece of my monster is inked with a slightly darker shade than the colored piece.

 Have a happy day!

Snowman box in vintage tones

I decided to make the snowman box in brown tones this time. The snowman stands out a little better.  :)

Click here or scroll down to see this box in white.

I inked everything with Walnut distress ink.

I also added a piece of checkered ribbon all around the bottom.

This cute snowman box is from the Silhouette Design Store.

Happy crafting!

Cute Snowman box

This is such a fun svg cut file!  I used a Peachy Keen face stamp, glossy accents for the eyes and ribbon for the scarf.  I also chalked the cheeks.

This cute snowman box is from the Silhouette Design Store

I'm going to make some more of these, for sure!

Have a happy day!

Haunted house treat boxes

Hello, my crafty friends!  Be ready for picture overload on this post!  I made these fun treat boxes using the 3D haunted house treat box from the Silhouette Design store.

These were so fun and easy to make!  I might have to whip up a few more to give to fiends and my son's teacher.

The bat, spider and fence are part of this cut file from silhouette, but the window frames I made in Silhouette Studio Designer Edition using rectangles.  I sized the outer rectangle so it was just slightly bigger than the window and the small inner rectangles slightly smaller so nothing would show from underneath.  It only took 2 minutes and was worth it.

This cute little ghost is from one of my retired metal die cut sets.  I put some dimensional foam behind the ghost and stuck him in the window frame.

I also used a hole punch to make the door knob.

I, of course, inked all of the edges of each piece on both boxes and I curled the roof pieces around a pencil.  The black and white stripe I curled just right and the green roof I had to flatten a little after the photos, but you get the idea.

The spider web under the roof is from one of my retired metal die sets,

Don't you love the crackly windows and the cat's eyes?!  They turned out better than I imagined, which is always fun.  I covered my window with Crackle Accents from Ranger and then glued the window frames on after it had dried.  I added green to the cat's eyes with a marker and then covered them with Crackle accents.  I used regular Glossy Accents for the door knob.

I cut the ghost from a slightly patterned paper and inked the edges with black ink.

The joy of creating is being able to share with someone!  These seem just the right size to hold a big handful of candy.  :)

Have a happy day!
